interessant,...anscheinend hat PG für sein neustes Album diese Isolation box von randall benutzt, von der wir es schonmal in einen andren thread hatten. das heisst die taugt also wirklich was ^^

...I’m in the studio at home now where I don’t have any soundproofing, so I got a Randall isolation cabinet; it just has one 12” in it. And I used a THD Hot Plate and that way I can have the amp on 10 but turn it down a little bit with the Hot Plate and then keep the sound enclosed in the Randall iso cabinet. And I even put that in another room so I can still keep things really controlled in the control room and dial in the tone without having to fight the volume of the amp.

cool, übrigens schwirren auch schon gerüchte herum, dass es 2009 eine neue (zusätzliche) Signature geben wird. große chancen haben die PGM301 mit HSS bestückung oder die Fireman

Die Fireman würde ich aber mit H-S-S oder H-H bevorzugen:

die sunburst gefällt mir auch, die farben und die PU kappen passen sehr gut zusammen.

ich denk auch, dass eine fireman nur in kombination mit mindestens einem humbucker sinn macht. alles andere wäre doch wieder zu speziell und würde sich wohl nicht verkaufen, wenn man sich die hauptklientel von Ibanez ansieht.
mir gefällt seine HH Fireman aber einen tick besser als die SSS

sau gut, hatte schon davon gehört dasses da ein problem gab mit den dvds, find ich voll korrekt das sie das jetz für alle zum saugen anbieten.

das ist aus seiner kolumne in der guitar world. ich kauf die recht häufig, eigentlich nur wegen der dvd, die ist wirklich spitze. tolle gast-musiker, gear tests,...

So habe mir demletzt mal eine weitere Platte von PG gegönnt...

Das schöne Stück heißt "Best of Paul Gilbert" und gibt's z.B. auf Amazon.
Die "Best of" Edition deshalb, weil ich mal wirklich eine Zusammenfassung der Hits von ihm haben wollte, die nicht nur
aus seinen Instrumentalsongs besteht.

Und ich muss sagen ich bin echt begeistert! Der Junge kann echt singen und schreibt seine Songs sowas von
genial! Wahnsinn! Auf CD1 die typischen Gilbert Songs mit verzerrten Riffs und Chords bis zum Umfallen - aber auch die alle astrein gesungen!!
Und dann noch auf CD2 ein paar akustische Lieder, die auch wirklich weltklasse sind!!!
Was Gilbert da gesangstechnisch mit Background abliefert ist sensationell.

Und zwischendrin immer mal wieder ein paar Songs, in denen er mal wieder ein paar klassische Stücke spielt und auch die sind natürlich absolut hörenswert

Also rundum ein wirklich tolles Paket, was die Vielseitigkeit von PG zum Ausdruck bringt.

Aber klar: Seine Instrumentalsongs liebe ich natürlich auch
