Meine erste Dream Theater Setlist

Glücklicherweise gibt es die Dream Theater Tourography auf mp.com

Daher habe ich eben mal nachgesehen was für eine Setlist bei meinem ersten DT-Konzert am 05.11.1993 gespielt wurde.

Damals kannte ich die Band noch gar nicht und bin nur durch einen Zufall an eine Karte gekommen, weil jemand aus meinem Bekanntenkreis abgesprungen ist (ne Frau natürlich ), tja dann bin ich halt mit nach Bonn gefahren und habe die Jungs zum ersten mal überhaupt gehört und gesehen, der Rest ist Geschichte

hehe, da war ich auch! Hätten wir uns theoretisch sogar sehen können... Wie hat Dir das Konzert gefallen? War IMO leider eines der schwächeren... Der Sound war sehr suboptimal, was aber vermutlich an der Location lag. Nunja... aber das Tackling war legendär!

ich war bisher nur auf zwei konzerten... war dann noch zwei jahre drauf auf dem konzert von der ToT tour... verglichen zu dem konzert fand ich das von der 6deg wesentlich besser. die location ist eigentlich ok, aber was ich so gehört hab hat dream theater nicht immer die größte lust auf soundcheck und da fällt der ab und zu mal eher etwas sporadisch aus (war zumindest bei dem konzert der ToT tour der fall)...

Mit Lust hat das überhaupt nichts zu tun, es kommt vor das die Jungs aus logistischen Gründen (Stau etc.) nicht viel Zeit dafür haben, aber grundsätzlich hat JP sogar gesagt das er sich auf den Soundcheck immer freut, weil er dann mal in "Ruhe" sein Equipment ausprobieren kann.

Mein erstes DT Konzert war in Trier. Damals auch mit PT als Vorband, die ich noch gar nicht kannte... Wüsste auch mal gerne, was die da gespielt haben.

Ich bilde mir ein, dass dieser Trainwreck beim Medey auf der FCCD zur Metropolis 2000 Tour zu hören ist ... da kommt ein Durcheinander mit anschließenden "what the fuck" von Mike (Track 14, 3:58 bis 4:15). Weiss da jemand darüber, wo dieser Track aufgenommen wurde/ ob es tatsächlich in Trier war...

Von Mikes Kaspereien war ich damals sowieso total überrascht.

Na siehste mal, da war ich auch! Ich bin der, der zu spät gekomme ist...
Stand Anfangs rechts, in der Nähe vom Eingang und bin dann nach der Pause in die Mitte gegangen...
Ja ich weiss... "was´n Fehler", rechts aussen war der Sound weitaus besser.
Aber nichts im Vergleich zur Erlanger Stadthalle 2007. Da war der Sound richtig übel und die Jungs
von SX & DT haben sich so bemüht...

Mein erstes DT Konzert war auch das von thomymayo in Saarbrücken 2005 Sehr geil, wobei der Sound hätte noch besser sein können.
